It kicked off with R-Truth announcing that Night of Champions, it will be Hardcore Battle Royal for the Hardcore Title. Then Darrius came out and said how R-Truth had doubt him being a world title and he proved him wrong at Glory by Honor. CM Punk had came out to interrupt the conversation. He desperately want to be in the main event in Night of Champions and wants to take Jack Swagger's shot in the main event. Jack Swagger came out and was brutally assaulted by Punk and Masters. Truth had made the match between the two and if Punk loses, he cannot have a WFA Title Match for a year
