You have to have some logic in pro wrestling; and comparing in-ring styles from WWE to NJPW and expecting the same feel and aura about them is just about the stupidest thing ever...

For its time, in '97, on a grand stage like that and with as a Lucha Apuesta match, to me it was as close as possible to being the perfect rudo vs tecnico match I'd ever seen...I was 15 and it blew me away.
To this day, I use it as inspiration for some of my IGNITION characters/matches.

I've said this before, but as 2015 rolls on and especially with the supposed last bastion of kayfabe returning to WWE, The Undertaker, it stands to reason that if you are a fan of the SPORT of professional wrestling, you will not get what you're looking for by watching the homogenized sports entertainment shows from WWE...
