The new NXT Champion, Austin Jenkins, made his way to the ring.

"What did I tell you?

Last week, I said I'd become the NXT Champion at TakeOver.

Look at me now. I've been in this company for a month, and I've already accomplished more than most people have since 2013. I beat the four best that NXT have to offer."

Finn Balor came down to the ring.

"Austin, I believe in giving credit where credit is due. You did beat the four best that NXT has to offer, and you are the new NXT Champion. You earned that. But you didn't pin me. You pinned Tyler Breeze when my back was turned. So, I've come out here to do two things. One, congratulate you on your NXT Championship victory, and two, tell you to savour it, because at TakeOver: London, I'm cashing in my rematch clause."

Balor dropped the microphone, and him and Jenkins stared each other in the eyes, as Austin raised the NXT Championship above his head.

Alexa Bliss vs Peyton Royce
The more experienced Royce was worked over by Bliss for the better part of the match. Alexa kept her down on the ground, Peyton started to fight back after a while, but before she knew it, Bliss had her down and hit the Sparkle Splash to get the win.

Elias Samson and Tye Dillinger vs Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder
In the penultimate first round match in the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic, Samson and Dillinger were met with their biggest test yet as they went up against the imposing Dawson and Wilder. Scott and Dash pretty much dominated Elias and Tye for basically all of the match, with Samson just barely kicking out after Dawson hit him with a fall away slam. As Dawson started to taunt the crowd, Samson tagged in Dillinger, who came in from behind and rolled Dawson up to steal a huge win and advance to the second round.

Angelo Dawkins vs
As Dawkins stood in the ring awaiting his opponent, he and everyone else in the arena were in for a shock, when none other than Wade Barrett came through the curtain. Still surprised to see him, Dawkins had no time to prepare, as Barrett clobbered him with a Bullhammer as soon as the bell rang to get the victory.
Wade Barrett defeats Angelo Dawkins in 0:11!

Post match, Barrett grabbed a microphone.

"I'm back here for one reason, and one reason only. To take the NXT Championship, and rule over NXT as my kingdom."

Corbin, like he usually does, made very short work of his opponent, putting him away with the End Of Days in under a minute.

Sami Zayn vs Johnny Gargano
In his first singles match since returning from injury, Sami Zayn went up against NXT newcomer, Johnny Gargano. With both men's tag team partners at ringside, they put on a great main event match. With tons of near-misses, in the latter portion, Zayn missed a Helluva Kick after Gargano ducked him, but Johnny followed through and rolled him up for just a two count. Gargano went for the Hurts Donut, but Sami got out of it and managed to hit the Helluva Kick in the corner. Zayn went for the Brainbuster, and Gargano tried to fight out, but Zayn would go on to hit the move and get the victory.

Rhyno and Baron Corbin vs The Lucha Dragons
The Lucha Dragons made their NXT returns, and were met with the much larger and imposing Baron Corbin and Rhyno. Sin Cara and Kalisto wisely used their quickness to their advantage early on, but that only worked until Rhyno caught a springboard attempt from Sin Cara and threw him across the ring with a fall away slam. Rhyno and Corbin actually seemed to be working well together, frequently tagging in and out and cutting the ring in half, up until the point that Sin Cara tagged in Kalisto, who came in fresh as a daisy and eventually put Rhyno away after the Salida Del Sol.
The Lucha Dragons defeat Baron Corbin and Rhyno in 6:47!

After the match, Corbin and Rhyno looked at each other in the ring, and they started to blame one another for the loss. They eventually came to blows, and security had to come out to seperate the two.

Candice and Billie Kay vs Emma and Dana Brooke
NXT's resident "mean girls" looked to get a win against the team of Billie Kay and Candice, but neither woman was going to let that happen easily. Emma and Dana did take control of the two at first, but Candice and Billie weren't going down without a fight, and Candice came into the match like a house on fire, hitting Emma with the Violence Party in the corner, and went for the Reverse Hurricanrana, but Dana caught her as she came off of the ropes and hit her finisher to get the win.
Emma and Dana Brooke defeat Candice and Billie Kay in 4:35!

Tyler Breeze vs Sawyer Fulton
Tyler looked to bounce back from being pinned in the Championship Scramble match at TakeOver at the expense of Sawyer Fulton, and did exactly that by hitting the Beauty Shot in just over a minute.
Tyler Breeze defeats Sawyer Fulton in 1:08!

William Regal came down to the ring with a microphone.

"As some of you may know, the next TakeOver event will be in my home country of England. And, with that being said, I would like to do something very special involving the NXT Women's Championship at that show, so, right now, I'd like to invite the Women's Champion, Bayley, out here."

Bayley came to the ring.

"Bayley, you have defended that Championship with honour so far, but with TakeOver being our biggest event yet, I want to make sure that you have your biggest challenge yet. Which is why I've decided to bring back a face from NXT's past to face you at TakeOver for the NXT Women's Championship."

The crowd fell silent for a few seconds, until Paige came threw the curtain, and the fans in Full Sail almost blew the roof of the place.

"Bayley, I might respect you, and we might be friends, but when William Regal gave me this offer, I couldn't resist. But ri-"

Sasha Banks appeared on the ramp.

"Hold up, hold up, if I remember correctly, I never got the chance to cash in my rematch clause against Bayley from TakeOver: Brooklyn. And now I have to get to the back of the line because Paige wants a match? Sorry, but I ain't gonna stand for that. Paige, Bayley, Mr. Regal, I'm cashing in my rematch clause against Bayley at TakeOver, and we're making this a triple threat match."

The fans cheered loudly at the prospect of a triple threat match between Paige, Sasha and Bayley.

"Well, alright then, I guess it's official. At TakeOver, live from London, it's going to be Paige, vs Sasha Banks, vs Bayley, in a Triple Threat match for the NXT Women's Championship!"

Carmella vs Alexa Bliss
With their respective men at ringside, Carmella and Alexa Bliss attempted to find out who the superior competitor was. Alexa used ground work to keep Carmella down, mainly working on her shoulder and upper arm. Alexa, to the possible surprise of some, showed great ring psychology with an arm stunner followed by an arm bar, but the New Jersey native, Carmella, wasn't going to stay down. Carmella fought her way back to a vertical base, and almost pinned Alexa after a small package, but Bliss kicked out. Realising that Alexa was possibly in trouble, Blake got up on the apron and distracted the referee, which allowed Bliss to roll up Carmella with a handful of tights to steal the win.
Alexa Bliss defeats Carmella in 4:21!

After the match ended, Big Cass pointed at Blake and Murphy as Enzo checked on Carmella, saying that they were in trouble once their match in the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic rolls around.

Austin Jenkins and Sasha Banks vs Bayley and Finn Balor
In a preview of sorts of the two main events of TakeOver: London, Banks teamed with Jenkins to take on Bayley and Balor in mixed tag team action. Austin and Sasha taunted their opponents as they beat them down, and showed good team work after Jenkins lifted Banks in the air to give her extra velocity on a splash, but she only got a two count. Bayley reached for the tag to Finn, but Sasha pulled her away and continued to proverbially dissect her. Pinpointing her assault on the previously injured hand, Sasha went for the Bank Statement, but Bayley rolled through, connected with a kick to the face, and dived across the ring to tag in Finn Balor, forcing Austin Jenkins into the match too. Balor sent Austin flying into the corner after a dropkick, and then threw the NXT Champion over his head with a butterfly suplex. Balor went for a cover, but Jenkins got his foot on the bottom rope. Finn pulled Austin back to his feet, but he was playing possum, and Jenkins connected with a Superkick. On the outside, Sasha Banks ran for Bayley, but the NXT Women's Champion connected with a Bayley-To-Belly, momentarily taking both women out of the occasion. Jenkins climbed to the top rope and gloated to the crowd ahead of the Panama Sunrise, but he took too long showing off and Balor was able to flip him over his head when he attempted it. Finn then seized the opportunity and hit the Coup De Gras for the win.

Bayley stared down Banks as Balor stared down Jenkins.

Hideo Itami vs Drew Canterbury
In Itami's first singles match back since returning at TakeOver: Championship Scramble, he was met with the task of the technically brilliant Drew Canterbury. The match was very even throughout, and both men exchanged vicious chops halfway through. As the match went further and further, Canterbury took Hideo down with a drop toe hold, and locked in the Ankle Lock. Seemingly stuck in the middle of the ring, it looked like Itami had no choice but to tap, however, he just barely crawled to the ropes. Itami used the ropes to get back up, and Drew came after him, but Hideo lifted him up for the Go To Sleep to put him away.
Hideo Itami defeats Drew Canterbury in 6:23!

The Lucha Dragons vs Elias Samson and Tye Dillinger
After a huge upset victory over Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder, Elias Samson and Tye Dillinger looked to ride that wave of momentum by beating The Lucha Dragons, but that would prove to be no easy feat. Elias and Tye did look to be keeping Kalisto isolated throughout the center portion of the match, and made sure he wasn't able to get to the tag to Sin Cara. They seemed to get complacent after a while however, and when they whipped Sin Cara into the ropes for a double team moved, Kalisto tagged himself in and came off the top rope with a springboard cross body. The Dragons continued to go back and forth with Samson and Dillinger, until Kalisto won after the Salida Del Sol.

Blue Pants came out to a large ovation as usual, but Emma had none of it, and showed absolutely zero mercy towards Blue Pants. Stomping away at her in the corner, slapping her in the face and trying to stop her from getting any offence in. Blue Pants tried to fight back, but Emma was too much and pinned her after
Emma defeats Blue Pants in 1:41!

Kassius Ohno vs Johnny Gargano
After impressing many people since debuting in NXT, Gargano would go up against his biggest challenge yet, in the form of the veteran, Kassius Ohno. Gargano and Ohno went back and forth throughout, exchanging holds on the mat and trying to wear each other down. Johnny went for Garga-No Escape, but Ohno made it to the bottom rope. Ohno went for the Discus Elbow, Gargano ducked and went behind, then picked him up and went for the Hurts Donut, but Ohno got free, as when Johnny turned around, he was knocked senseless by the rolling elbow from Kassius.

Wade Barrett vs Tommasso Ciampa
Barrett and Ciampa, "two big bulls", as Jason Albert described them, brutalised each other from bell to bell, with vicious punches, forearms, elbows, knees, and kicks exchanged throughout. Barrett got the upper hand in the middle of the match, and sent Ciampa into the ropes for something, but just like that, Tommasso hit him with a kick to the gut and almost hit Project Ciampa. In the end, Tommasso went for Project Ciampa, but Barrett once again broke free, and dropped him with a Bullhammer to end the match.

Tommasso was overpowered by Swagger in the earlier and middle portions of the match, with Jack's amateur wrestling background coming into play, but Ciampa eventually got the win after Project Ciampa.

Baron Corbin vs Mike Bailey
Independent talent Mike Bailey looked to prove himself against Corbin to gain the attention of William Regal, but Corbin didn't allow him to get out of the gate and made extremely short work of him.
Baron Corbin defeats Mike Bailey in 0:32!

After the match, as Corbin celebrated in the ring, Rhyno sprinted down the ramp as fast as he could, got into the ring, and brawled with Corbin. Both men fought with each other tooth and nail, as Corbin backed Rhyno into the corner and tried to gain the advantage. Security stormed to the ring and tried to seperate them with all they had. "We're gonna need more security!", exclaimed Corey Graves. Security finally managed to split the two up after about two full minutes of brawling.

Enzo Amore and Big Cass vs Blake and Murphy
After weeks of taunting and attacking each other, BAMF and "The Realest Guys In The Room" finally faced off. Blake and Murphy cut Enzo off from Cass, keeping him on their side of the ring, using Alexa Bliss to gain an advantage and trying to make sure he couldn't get the tag to Big Cass. Enzo finally did get the tag, and Big Cass came in like a house on fire, throwing Murphy over the top rope and hitting the East River Crossing on Blake. Enzo then tagged in and they hit the Rocket Launcher to advance.
Enzo Amore and Big Cass defeat Blake and Murphy in 6:34!

Finn Balor vs Kassius Ohno
"KO" went one on one with the former NXT Champion and looked very impressive. Grounding Balor, he tried his best to make sure that he couldn't get an opportunity to get some offence in, but Balor wasn't going to let that happen. Finn continued to fight back, and in the end, he ducked a rolling elbow, hit the Bloody Sunday, and finished him off with the Coup De Gras.
Finn Balor defeats Kassius Ohno in 7:59!

As Balor celebrated his win, Austin Jenkins appeared on the ramp, holding the NXT title, staring Finn down. As they both states holes through each other, Ohno came from behind and hit Finn with a rolling elbow to the back of the head, as Jenkins laughed.

In preparation for her triple threat match at TakeOver, Sasha went up against a very capable Billie Kay. Sasha was unable to keep her down on the mat, and Billie fought all the way through. Kay almost hit the Sitout Uranage, but Banks reversed it into the Bank Statement to get the victory and momentum.

In possibly his biggest test since returning to NXT, Wade Barrett was met with the task of defeating the brick wall known as Cristoph LeBas. Both men were in a power struggle for the entire match, but ultimately, Barrett prevailed after hitting a Bullhammer from out of nowhere.

Ohno seemed unimpressed with Tyler's antics as he made his entrance, and some would think that he took him lightly, as Breeze took control over Ohno on the mat and maintained that control for most of the match, but Tyler would go on to fall victim to a Rolling Elbow.

Finn Balor vs Cesaro
In an incredible match, Balor and Cesaro completely blew away everyone in the arena with their back and forth action. With a crazy amount of near falls, counters, and close finishes, everybody was on the edge of their seat for the entire match. Eventually, Balor defeated Cesaro after a Coup De Gras and both men shook hands after the match.

Dana Brooke vs Bayley
The NXT Women's Champion returned to Full Sail to an enormous ovation from the crowd. Dana Brooke, however, was not having any of it, and attacked Bayley as soon as she got in the ring, showing that she didn't care for the NXT Women's Champion at all. Dana surprisingly took control of Bayley for a good part of the match, but eventually, the Women's Champion took her down to the mat with the Bayley To Belly for the win.
Bayley defeats Dana Brooke in 4:57!

Tyler Breeze appeared on the titantron.

"Ladies, gentlemen, uggos, tonight, I come to you from my seasonal residence in agrestal Halifax, Nova Scotia. And I have something, or rather, someone, to address, him being one Solomon Crowe. I've been informed today by William Regal that at TakeOver, you and I are going to do battle again, Solomon. And I was also informed today that tonight, you're going to go one on one with Cristoph LeBas. So, I'm going to sit back and relax in the comfort of my own home, while you get softened up in the middle of that ring against a monster. Tyler out."

"The Man Beast" was dominant, as usual, making short work of Tye and ripping him in half with a Gore in under 30 seconds.

Samoa Joe vs Apollo Crews
In a brutal hard hitting contest, the newcomer, Apollo Crews, went one on one with the veteran, Samoa Joe. In his biggest test yet, Crews seemed like he was in trouble when Joe lifted him up and attempted for the Musclebuster, but Crews broke free, and eventually hit him with the Apollo Combination for the win.
Apollo Crews defeats Samoa Joe in 5:22!

Austin Jenkins appeared on the titantron.

"Finn Balor.. I'll give it to you. Yeah. You're good. You've got talent. You're a hell of a competitor, but the fact is, you're just like everybody else in NXT, everybody else in WWE, hell, everybody else in professional wrestling. You're good, but you're no Austin Jenkins. And let me tell you something. At TakeOver, I'm going to show you, William Regal, and everyone else watching, just exactly what Austin Jenkins is made of, and at the end of the night, I will walk out still the NXT Champion."

Solomon Crowe vs Cristoph LeBas
Crowe and LeBas pulverised each other, with debilitating shots to the chest and head. LeBas came flying over the top rope with a breathtaking Topé, blowing the minds of everybody watching. Crowe almost got the win after locking in the Crowebar, but LeBas made it to the ropes. Cristoph tried for a Half & Half, but Crowe got the win after locking in the Crowebar once again.

Sami Zayn and Hideo Itami vs Jack Swagger and Curtis Axel
The newly returning team of Zayn and Itami were severely undersized in this match, but they didn't let that hold them back, and bought the fight to Swagger and Axel, but their opponents size did catch up to them. Swagger locked in the Patriot Lock on Itami, and Hideo reached for the tag to Sami, but Jack held onto the hold until Hideo got to the ropes. Sami tagged himself into the match and came in like a house on fire, immediately booting Swagger in the face with the Helluva Kick. Zayn was setting up for the Brainbuster, but when he lifted Axel, Curtis' boot caught the referee in the face, knocking him down. Kevin Owens then came sprinting down the ramp, grabbed Zayn, and crushed him with a pop-up powerbomb. Swagger crawled to the cover, and he and Axel were able to advance to the second round.
Jack Swagger and Curtis Axel defeat Sami Zayn and Hideo Itami in 8:41!

Owens grabbed a chair and a microphone, and sat in the middle of the ring.

"Sami, did you think this was over? Did you really think I was done with you? No.. no.. I'm not done with you. Sami.. I want to get you out of my life, once and for all. I want to make sure that you never come back. I want to rid NXT of the disease known as Sami Zayn. At TakeOver, Sami, it's gonna be me and you. Last time ever. Last. Man. Standing."

Baron Corbin vs Elias Samson
Corbin look as dominant as he always does against Samson, defeating him in almost no time and gaining a huge amount of momentum headed into his street fight with Rhyno at TakeOver in London.
Baron Corbin defeats Elias Samson in 0:21!

After the match, Rhyno came sprinting down the ramp, and he and Corbin came after each other immediately with strikes to each other's head, each man trying to hurt the other. Security stormed the ring, and it took a lot, but they finally seperated Corbin and Rhyno, stopping the carnage.

Chavo Guerrero vs Johnny Gargano
Gargano and Guerrero went back and forth in this match, each man trying to utilised mat based offence to get the win. Chavo almost won after he hit the Gory Bomb and climbed to the top rope for the Frog Splash, but Johnny moved, and immediately pounced on him to lock in the GargaNo-Escape.
Johnny Gargano defeats Chavo Guerrero in 4:21!

Kevin Owens walked down the ramp casually, with a chair, and got into the ring.

"Sami Zayn, I know you're at home watching this, so I just want you to sit back and listen carefully.

You might have thought, that when I beat you at TakeOver in May, embarrassing you, and remaining NXT Champion, that this was over, but no, Sami. This is not over. This will only be over when I have killed the cancer known as Sami Zayn. When I have rid NXT of the disease known as Sami Zayn. When I have rid my life of the pest known as Sami Zayn. Sami, at TakeOver, when I beat you for the third time in a Last Man Standing match, I'm not just gonna beat you. I'm gonna make sure you never, ever show your face here again. I'm going to hurt you, Sami. I'm going to end your career, once and for all, at TakeOver."

Owens got up out of his chair as the fans booed and his theme song played.

Emma vs Candice
Candice fought valiantly, but the constant presence of Dana Brooke at ringside would prove to be too much. Every time it seemed like Candice was building some offence, Dana Brooke would interfere and give Emma the advantage once again. Emma would go on to get the win after the Dil-Emma.

Jason Jordan and Chad Gable vs Enzo Amore and Big Cass
Despite what Enzo and Cass proclaimed before the match, Jordan and Gable were far from "Sawft". Chad and Jason showed Enzo and Cass exactly what they were about, showing great knowledge of amateur wrestling by wearing them down with lots of ground holds. Enzo and Cass went for the Rocket Launcher after they'd rallied up the crowd and got Jordan into position, but before Cass could throw Enzo, Chad Gable came in from behind with the roll up to steal the win and advance to the finals of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic.

Tyler Breeze vs Tommasso Ciampa
Unfortunately for Breeze, he had to put his face on the line ahead of his match with Solomon Crowe at TakeOver by going one on one with "The Sicilian Psychopath", Tommasso Ciampa. Breeze was clearly feeling the effects of Ciampa's brutal in ring style, but Tyler showed his toughness, not backing down from Tommasso and hitting him with the Supermodel Kick. Tyler crawled for the cover, but suddenly, the arena's lights flickered on and off. Breeze, the referee, and the fans looked around in confusion, as the titantron's feed started to break, and static appeared on screen. The lights went out completely, and when they came back on, Solomon Crowe was stood behind Breeze, holding a tablet. Before Tyler knew it, Tommasso rolled him up for the three count to steal the win.
