Can't judge it until you watch it. That's like me saying chikara is shit for being fun. But it's not, I actually like aloe of the stuff I've seen so far.
It's easily he smartest thing ROH has done cause as of late it really looked like scum was over. Cole losing the belt is simply cause he probably has a offer by the wwe. Briscoes losing is kinda stupid but I know they want to build up a cued over the tag belts with orielly Fischand the american wolves. I honestly thought Stevens reign was over cause they built jay lethal up almost too good. Compton and rave coming to roh is fucking brilliant. Rhett Titus joining scum was shocking but kinda makes sense due to his recent tweets. Matt hardy being in it sucks, simply cause he himself sucks.
If steen does turn faced hope to see a lot of good matches with a lot of these guys. Jimmy vs steen for the title cold be amazing, Steen vs rave or component could be epic aswell. Super card of honor should be great I just wonder who is next to face steen ? Maybe Elgin again? Maybe Davey or Eddie? Maybe a 3 wy or 4 way? Who knows! It'll be interesting though.

I'm not saying that there weren't great matches in that promotion after Gabe was fired, but in terms of overall consistency, it's all been downhill since 2008. There have been some bright spots here and there, but long gone are the days where every single match on the card is worth watching. When you become and remain a top guy there, you get to a point where you have done all there is to do. All the great guys that have come through there hit that point. I'd say Jimmy, Davey, Steen, and even Eddie Edwards are at that point. But none of those guys are on the same level as a Danielson or Aries. The whole company is watered down and will never be as good as it once was which sucks because in the past it was brilliant.

Can't blame any of the stars. Blame mostly cornwtte for the watered down ROH. IT'S SLOWLY COMING BACK TO WHAT IT ONCE WAS CAUSE LITERALLY THE LAST 5 shows have been all solid shows. Literally every match on the cards have been great. I'm happy delirious took back over booking cause now we don't have to sit through the dog shit style cornwtte wanted. Cornwtte wants roh to be like NWA or memphis wrestling which will never be good. He wanted to impress the tv thing they got with wrestling. It was never edges when cornwtte was in charge. Over the last few months we have seen some of the best matches in ROH. Elgin vs steen from GBH was given 5 stars by some cause it was that damn good. I agree with some stars being at the highest level that's why Davey and Eddie are teaming again. They have a lot to do in the tag division which is being grout back to life which is great. They are bringing in great new young guys like silasnyoung, ACH, tadarius Thomas and many others. They are at least trying to get the ball rolling again where as when cornwtte was in charge you just seen the few select guys and that was it. Jimmy has done almost everything except be in the spotlight which I know will never happen. I just hope to see him in some title matches this year. I wouldn't mind a tv title reign or even challenging for the world tittle a few times. Steen has literally done everything since coming back, he is the stone cold of roh, loved by many and is a heel. I see him turning face within the next few months and trying to basically end scum. If that does happen we will get legit good matches from them. The Matt taven thing blows my mind but it makes sense since I guess cole is going to the wwe. I just wish they would've gave it to silas young as I think that dude is great! Matt hardy has no room in roh to be honest. He is just a huge waste. The, bringing back rave is something I've wanted for awhile and is a great move cause you and I know that he is pretty damn talented. Cliff Compton is a huge shock cause I never thought it would've happened. The dude can wrestle and has a sweet gimmick! I'm looking forward to the rest of the year as the last few months have been nothing but great. Even the tv show has been awesome and enjoyable to watch. Right now I'd say ROH is my second favorite company going as they are showing positive improvement and get me hooked each show.

The only thing I can say about ROH and maybe it's because I haven't watched it in a few years is they don't really seem to have that one guy that sticks out like Aries, Black, Nigel, Bryan. You could argue that Steen is that guy and don't get me wrong I love Steen and I'm all for anything the guy does if its a face turn it'd be very interesting but in my own opinion he doesn't really stick out. But like I said it's been quite some time since i've seen an ROH show so my point is invalid.

The only thing I can say about ROH and maybe it's because I haven't watched it in a few years is they don't really seem to have that one guy that sticks out like Aries, Black, Nigel, Bryan. You could argue that Steen is that guy and don't get me wrong I love Steen and I'm all for anything the guy does if its a face turn it'd be very interesting but in my own opinion he doesn't really stick out. But like I said it's been quite some time since i've seen an ROH show so my point is invalid. I agree. No one has the Aries or Bryan status in the company simply cause you never really see people like Eddie Davey, roddy, or anyone being highlighted. They are all former ROH champions for Christ sake. Never mentioned really cause their reigns weren't great. Their reigns were maybe made up of 10-15 defenses while Danielson and Aries defended the belt a ridiculous amount of times. With the tv deal they don't do too many live event which sucks. I think they could honestly have a ippv for each live event due to there not being that many. Like I said before they tried to be what the tv station wanted and now they are slowly bringing themselves back. I think these last two world champion reigns were good for the company as 2 champions inn 2 years is a feat idea. It builds people up to try and achieve that Aries or Bryan status. Davey is almost there to be honest. He puts on great matches with everyone and his reign was pretty good. Though he is in a team with Eddie I can still see him breaking through to that aries or Bryan status. Like I said almost a year ago Davey is the pound for pound best in the world right now as he puts 150% into everything he does. There isn't one match from him since like 2010 that I wouldn't recommend. The dudes money. I hope to see some more tag teams brought int roh as its interesting. The forever hooligans were a great start. Now maybe we can get Incoherence or the colony for a match? |
