Got 2 Figures In The Mail Accidentally

I ordered an Elite 17 Mankind off of eBay on Saturday and got it Wednesday in the mail but when I tracked my package through USPS it said it was lost so I was afraid a little that I'd lost my package. I tracked it again the following day and it said it was on it's way. I come in after school and there's two boxes instead of one. I thought the user sent me the wrong figure at first and sent me the right one afterward but instead it was two Mankind figures instead of one. I check my email and it says I received a message from the user. I read the message and it says that he (the user) sent me the Mankind figure I ordered and paid for but said it was lost at the post office so he sent another to make sure I didn't get screwed over. He noticed it said both figures were delivered to my house so now he wants the extra one back as he'll cover shipping on it for he says it's a huge loss to not have one of them. He wants me to respond ASAP and hopes I'm enjoying the package.

Should I send it back?

eBay says not to respond to the sender if the message requests that I complete the transaction outside of eBay. This type of offer is against eBay policy, may be fraudulent, and is not covered by buyer protection programs.

If I don't will the user have the ability to suspend my account for quite some time making me unable to buy more items off of eBay?

I say keep it. Not your fault that he sent 2. If you never asked him to send another then it's his fault.


The only thing that can happen is negative feedback which won't really affect you cause he has to give a reason why. He sent two so it's his own fault. If you want to you can send it back but if it was me I would keep it.

Make sure that if you dont send back that there will not be any consequences against you. So make sure and if not well its your choice to keep it or not. Just follow your gut.
