Remember seeing it years ago. One of the best things is at the end of the match when the American fans chant "thank you" in Japanese at Kobashi. Truly a great dream match but still doesn't top Ladder War.
Also, another awesome part is on the DVD Joe cuts a promo half-dead saying that no matter how much the match took away from him he does not regret it one bit. Really special match.

Ladder War was epic also. I just loved this a tiny bit more But John, I can list off about 5, 5 star matches from ROH in the past 8 years that I have loved. For all the stick they get nowadays, they have some awesome shit. Davey vs. Elgin Davey vs. Roderick Davey vs. Tyler Generico vs. Steen - Ladder Generico vs. Steen - Fight without Honour Just too name a few that come to mind.

I could list off so many matches I loved in ROH. I adored that company until 2011. I don't even keep in touch with it now but nothing at all could touch the 03-10 days.

Thing is, nowadays, they still have the occasional AMAZING match, but the undercards are not as good as they have been. No denying that they still have good matches, not one bit. They just don't have my interest right now. Back in 05-07 they had the greatest roster in any company. I can still go back and watch a show such as their first supercard and get an amazing feel. That milestone series as a whole is still one of the best series of shows I've ever seen. I don't care for their current roster. I could really care less about Tommaso Ciampa, Mike Bennett, Matt Taven and so on. They just don't have anything like Blood Generation Vs. Do Fixer, The Briscoes Vs. The Murder City Machine Guns, Kenta Vs. Danielson and so on. I also understand that PWG is the new thing but I just can't get into it like the older ROH but that's another story for another day.

I'd place any of the Danielson Vs McGuiness matches up against this as the "greatest"
