As you will have seen, there has been some "dissension in the ranks" of The Shield, shall we say.
With the way he's being pushed at the moment, there are talks that Roman Reigns could turn face and leave "The Hounds Of Justice". There have also been talks about him getting a replacement. There are many candidates, of course. Someone could be called up from NXT, or FCW. But the biggest speculation, is over Mason Ryan. If you don't remember Mason, he was a part of the New Nexus, and also got a small push on WWE Superstars in Early 2012, but suddenly disappeared from television. Ryan is still under contract with the WWE, and many people believe that he is the most likely candidate to replace Reigns in The Shield. Mason, a former FCW Champion, is a very large man, just South of 300 pounds. Being an absolute behemoth, I believe that Mason is perfect as an enforcer. A lot like the role he played in the New Nexus. It could also build up a feud with Punk, perhaps showing animosity in Punk, who is angry at the former Friend who has attacked him. What do you think? I think Mason is perfect for this role.

Seen Mason in NXT, he really has no charisma, and isn't great in the ring. I actually thought he was pretty good. He's physically dominating, and let's be honest, an enforcer doesn't really need to speak. |

Mason has charisma, just not enough time to show it. He's a great powerhouse and he would be a great replacement for Reigns, but I just want the shield done with. It's been over a year and they all work together very well, but them on TV with single careers? It would be great.

Ehh as excited as I am for them to break out into singles competitors I don't want that right now. When I think back to really good matches of 2013 Shield matches are the only ones that come to mind besides punk and taker at mania or orton and bryan in that hardcore match on raw. If they are planning on pushing Roman to the point he is out of the group I don't really think they need to replace him.. Have Dean drop the US title and have Ambrose and Seth be The Shield and continue to be that dominant tag team. Ryan is really awkward in general he is a big dude and is a sight to see but the guy is pretty awful in the ring.. some people are meant to be wrestlers others not so much. We will see what happens I love all three guys from the shield i'd be extremely happy to see any of them in the main event scene in the future.
