Kevin Steen Has Signed With The WWE (Rumored)

WWE and Steen have reached an agreement. They have been trying to work out a deal since he showed up at the WWE training camp. He is booked throughout June at various independent shows, but will report to the NXT training facility in early July.

There was a big article on WF. Check that out if you're really interested. I just summed it all up.

This is huge news. To see Steen in the WWE would be damn near the craziest thing ever and I would have never thought it would've happened. It's so great to see that the top Indy performer since 2010 (in my opinion) is finally gonna make it big.

After speaking with sources, we can confirm Kevin Steen has signed a deal with WWE.

The former Ring of Honor World Champion has been rumored to have been on WWE's radar for quite sometime. It had been reported in the past Steen was part of a try-out camp for WWE, but nothing more was known regarding the probability of him being signed.

He has now signed, and is expected to finish up his independent bookings and obligations. An exact time is unknown as to when he will report to the NXT Performance Center, but Steen is still advertised for independent shows through the month of June.

I never thought it would happen, considering he's the complete opposite body type of the guys WWE usually goes for. But if you look at the most popular guys among fans (guys like Bryan, Punk, Zayn, etc.), their old mindset really doesn't apply. Steen obviously does great shit in the ring, and it's great that WWE recognized this. I can't wait to see him on NXT.
