Gonna need to check out AJ/Nakamura for sure. That was definetly the highlight of the show for me. The last three were all great.

TOTALLY disagree with Ziggy! I thought the last 3 matches were AMAZING. Okada/Tanahashi was probably the greatest match I have ever seen. Omega/KUSHIDA was also GREAT - surprised you disliked it as much as you did. Last 3 matches were all good to great. Shibata/Ishii and AJ/Nakamura both delivered in spades. Omega vs KUSHIDA was just a case of same old for me, I've seen them wrestle a couple of times before this and I just didn't get into it. Tanahashi vs Okada was good but compared to their other matches like WK9 and KOPW 13 for example, it felt underwhelming to me.

Fair Enough - I totally got into Omega/KUSHIDA but I can see why you might not have. Okada/Tana just clicked for me, and I know a lot of others. I would probably still place it behind their KOPW match which is the best match ever for me.

I think the finish would have been better as a submission - that is what I thought they were going for actually with the referee accidentally counting the pin! That being said, I didn't mind it THAT much, thought the counter into the submission was good.

Hirooki Goto vs Tetsuya Naito (w/BUSHI and EVIL (***1/4)
Tomohiro Ishii (c) vs Katsuyori Shibata - NEVER Openweight Championship (****1/2)
AJ Styles vs Shinsuke Nakamura (c) - IWGP Intercontinental Championship (****1/2)
Hiroshi Tanahashi vs Kazuchika Okada (c) - IWGP Heavyweight Championship (****1/4)
Overall:
Well, here we are. Wrestle Kingdom 10. After last year's incredible January 4th show, I came in expecting all that and then some, but I didn't get that until the last 3, maybe 4 matches. The Junior Heavyweight Tag Title match was what it was; the same Junior Heavyweight Tag Title match we've seen upwards of 2000 times. The 6 Man NEVER Openweight Championship was fun, and that's about all I can say. It was fun. Yano and The Briscoes should cut some promos together back in Sandy Fork. Lethal vs Elgin was rather underwhelming, honestly. Expected way more going in considering how good Big Mike has been in Japan and how well Lethal has performed in his role as heel Champion these past 6 months. KUSHIDA vs Omega was fine, I thought.. however, others have thought way more of it than I have. I thought it was ok, and just as good as their previous encounters, but the over-reliance of interference, the over-use of the trash can and the botched finish (Kenny's shoulder was very clearly up, like, in full view of the camera) bought it down a little in my eyes. GBH vs Bullet Club was solid, but the best part of this match was how good the moment at the end was, such an awesome feeling to see two of my favourite wrestlers, more specifically Honma, winning a match, AND a title on the biggest stage in all of Japan. Goto vs Naito was awesome and the MOTN at this point in the show, great to see Goto get a big win on WK. Gotta think this possibly puts him in line for a title shot soon. Ishii vs Shibata was incredible. Legit, one of my favourite New Japan matches in recent memory. Both guys killed each other for the entire match and I popped for Shibata finally winning a strap. Up next was a dream match. Styles vs Nakamura. Did it deliver? You're goddamn right it delivered. I was on the edge of my seat for the entire bout, and they worked so many good spots and moments into it, like the one armed Styles Clash, AJ working his back, and the Boma Ye's to the front and back of AJ's head. Finish was great and Nakamura deserved to retain. The rumours of AJ being NXT bound will only explode from here on out. Next was the main event. It was great.. but that's all I can say about it. It was just as good as I expected. Not as good as their other matches (which is nothing to be ashamed of considering their match at King Of Pro Wrestling 2013 is one of my favourites of all time), but still, fantastic.
I came out of this show at 12:07pm feeling ever so slightly underwhelmed. It was a very average show up until the last 4 matches. They saved the entire show for me and were the only reasons I stayed tuned in at work. I'm glad I don't live in the States because I probably would have regretted staying up from 2:00 until 6:00 to watch this live.
7.5/10

Court Bauer of MLW radio is reporting that AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura are among 4-6 stars leaving New Japan. Updates: Big Dave Meltzer tweeted out to expect "big news" in the next 24 hours. AJ Styles followed Triple H on Twitter last night. The rumoured wrestlers leaving are AJ, Nakamura, Tonga, Anderson, Gallows and Omega. Numerous outlets are reporting that WWE have made an offer for all men. Might be worth noting that Nagata, Tenzan, Kojima and Nakanishi are probably on their way out soon too.

New Years Dash: Kenny Omega & AJ Styles vs Nakamura & YOSHI-HASHI
Omega pins Nakamura. Then turns on AJ. Bullet Club comes to AJ's defence. Bucks & Omega then triple superkicked AJ. Gallows & Anderson later turned on AJ
Omega then cuts a promo about how he was overlooked when AJ was the leader/boss of BC. Omega goes after Nakamura and IC title and AJ is fired.
All left with AJ laying, Omega and bucks then did Styles Clash/Superkick combo and left
Young lions helped AJ to his feet, crowd LOUDLY chanting for AJ, AJ then does a 4 corner Japanese salute crowd loudly chanting his name. It was a surreal moment and definitely did look like a swansong for Styles
OH GOD ITS HAPPENING
