Win win situation, IMO.
Gedo finally realises the buckets of talent he has but rarely uses in the form of Goto, Naito, Ishii, Shibata, Makabe, Honma and more. This makes for a more interesting main event scene since two of the big four would be gone and their would actually be question as to whether or not Goto would be able to beat Okada at New Beginning. Guys like him who've worked their asses off for years with little to nothing to show for it will finally get a chance to shine and make a bigger name for themselves.
WWE acquire 4 of the biggest names in all of Japan and their main event division is suddenly full again. AJ Styles can just wrestle dream matches for the rest of his career, Nakamura can debut in NXT at first to adapt to the style, wrestle against Joe, wrestle Balor again, wrestle Gable (omfg i want that so bad) and more until he's used to it and debuts on the main roster. Anderson and Gallows are both solid hands for the tag division and Karl more so for the singles division.
We're definitely about to enter a new 1997-1998 esque boom period. It's gonna be an interesting couple of months.

Nakamura HAS confirmed that he'll be leaving New Japan at the end of the month in an interview with TokyoSports. Styles, Gallows and Anderson have all handed in their notices but Nakamura will finish his commitments and drop the IC Title before he leaves.
None of the men have signed contracts with WWE yet but all signs point to it.
Shinsuke reached out to WWE last summer but he'd already re-signed with New Japan before they got back to him
