WWE Monday Night Raw: January 3, 2005 Nassau Coliseum ,Uniondale, New York The show starts with a hype video about New Year's Revolution. Raw General Eric Bischoff will announce what are the plans for the World Title with New Year's Revolution coming up. Eric Bischoff comes out, holding the World Heavyweight Championship in his hand. He enters the ring and grabs a microphone to make his announcement. Bischoff: “For a month now, the World Title has been vacated due to a Triple Threat match between Edge, Chris Benoit, and Triple H. In that match, we had seen Chris Benoit and Edge both pinned each other in the middle of this ring. We had referees debating for hours of whom should be the World Heavyweight Champion. With New Year’s Revolution coming up, I have to decide what to do with the World Title. So I had decided that at New Year’s Revolution, we will decide our World Champion by putting it up for grabs inside the …. ELIMINATION CHAMBER!!!!!” (Fans start chanting and going crazy.) Bischoff: “The 6 men that is going to be in the Elimination Chamber Match is going to be Triple H …. Chris Benoit …. Edge …. Shawn Michaels …… Randy Orton …… and last but not least …. BATISTA!!!!!” Come New Year’s Revolution, you people will finally have your true World Heavyweight Champion”. Eric Bischoff leaves the ring with the World Title in his hand. Tag Team Match Christian and Tyson Tomko vs Rhyno and Tajiri Winner: Christian and Tyson Tomko via Unprettier to Tajiri in 9:08 After the match, Christian grabs a microphone and challenges Eugene and Regal to a match for the World Tag Team Championship. Eugene comes out and accepts the challenge. We go backstage to see Triple H, Batista, and Ric Flair talking about the Chamber Match this Sunday. Triple H says that he will walk out of New Year’s Revolution as the new World Champion while Batista says that if Triple H gets eliminated before he comes out, then no one will stop him from winning the World Title. Ric Flair then says that he doesn’t care who wins the World Title as long as it is in the possession of Evolution. Singles Match Trish Stratus vs Stacy Keibler Winner: Trish Stratus via Chick Kick in 3:16 After the match, Trish signals that she wants the Women's Championship. We see The Coach interviewing Muhammad Hassan and Daivari. Daivari and Hassan starts talking about how America is racist to Muslims. Ten they had announced that they are issuing an open challenge to any American who thinks that can take him on. Non- Title Match Shelton Benjamin vs Chris Jericho Winner: Chris Jericho via roll up in 14:32 Singles Match Gene Snitsky vs Val Venis Winner: Gene Snitsky via Pumphandle Slam in 5:57 After the match, fire rose from the turnbuckles and on the screen says “Hell is coming at New Year’s Revolution”. Snitsky looks at it and begins to get a little scared. 6 Man Tag Team Match Edge, Triple H, and Batista vs Randy Orton, Shawn Michaels, and Chris Benoit Winner: Randy Orton, Shawn Michaels, and Chris Benoit via Sweet Chin Music and RKO to Edge in 20:28 After the match, the three men celebrate until Triple and Batista attacks them. Batista hits Benoit with the Batista Bomb, then HBK hits Batista with the Sweet Chin Music, HHH hits Michaels with the Pedigree, Orton hits Triple H with a RKO, and Orton does his signature pose as he is the last person standing. Then out of nowhere, Edge gets up and spears Orton right out of his boots.
