Pre-show for WrestleMania was a Triple Threat Tag Team Match for the WWE Tag Team Championships as the current reigning champions, Primo and Epico w/Rosa Mendes took on The Usos (Jimmy and Jey) and the newly form team Justin Gabriel and Tyson Kidd. This match had much high-flying moves throughout shown by all three teams. Justin Gabriel would deliver a springboard 450 Splash to Jey Uso and almost get the win until Epico moved Gabriel out of the way to retain his and Primo's Tag Team Championship for he would execute a viscous Backstabber to Jey Uso. Later backstage in an interview, Kidd and Gabriel would announce that they have their eyes set on the Tag Team Championships.
The World Heavyweight Championship Match would be next as Sheamus would enter with determination and Bryan would make his way to the ring in a new attire with AJ by his side. When the bell rang, Bryan would tell AJ to approach the apron and they would kiss and after Sheamus would immediately deliver a devastating Brogue Kick to Bryan to become the new World Heavyweight Champion in a record time of only 18 seconds!
The Kane VS Randy Orton Match would be next as this match was alright, in my opinion. Kane would be wearing a new ring attire as well. Orton and Kane would switch off throughout the match but mainly Orton was in control. Kane though would successfully win the match as he would have Orton up on the top-rope and execute a humongous Chokeslam.
Big Show would take on the Intercontinental Champion, Cody Rhodes (who was wearing a new attire) next. The match would switch off as well for Big Show would show dominance against Rhodes as he would just throw him around the ring. Rhodes would then take control by using his legs. Rhodes most definitely wanted to win this match and prove how good he is but Big Show would soon deliver the W.M.D. Knockout Punch to win the title from Rhodes ending his 200+ days reign.
The Divas Champion, Beth Phoenix and Eve would go up against Kelly Kelly and TV Host, Maria Menounos in a Tag Team Match. As a result, only lasting six minutes, this match had no purpose and could have been replaced with another match but it's alright with the result it had with Kelly Kelly and Menounos defeating Phoenix and Eve with Menounos lifting Beth into a crucifix pin.
Next, was The Undertaker and Triple H dueling it out with Shawn Michaels as the Special Guest Referee as the two would go one on one in a Hell In A Cell Match. Undertaker would shock everyone watching at home and the fans in attendance as he would sport a new somewhat buzz hair-cut. This match is probably one of the best matches I've ever seen. This is really close to being as good as WrestleMania XXV's Shawn Michaels taking on The Undertaker Match. As a result, after so many brutal maneuvers The Undertaker would go 20-0 as Michaels would willingly count the pin-fall after the Tombstone Piledriver to Triple H. After the match, Michaels and Take would help Triple H and put his arms around their shoulders as they would carry him out of the ring ending and era along the way.
Next, was Team Teddy taking on Team Johnny. As a result, Team Johnny would dominate Team Teddy until Zack Ryder came into the ring. Ryder almost had the match finished as he would go for the Broski Boot fist-pumping with surprising Eve by his side in the ring until Eve was told to exit the ring by the referee distracting Ryder allowing Miz to win the match for John Laurinaitis with the Skull-Crushing Finale.
Then, was The Best In The World Match for the WWE Championship as Chris Jericho would make his way to the ring in a new light-up jacket featuring red and a new red attire saying on the back of his trunks "Best In The World." CM Punk would enter in a new red and green attire. This match was very good. Jericho and Punk made this fun to watch as Laurinaitis would establish a new stipulation, if CM Punk was disqualified, he will lose the title. Jericho would intentionally try to get Punk disqualified by referencing to Punk's father and sister. Punk would almost hit Jericho with a steel chair as Jericho begged Punk to hit him across his face with the chair. Punk though would drop the chair and attack Jericho tremendously. Punk had Jericho up on the top-rope and attempted to deliver a hurricanrana to Jericho until he would counter it into the Walls Of Jericho. Punk would grab the bottom rope though allowing him to take control and soon enough he would cinch in the Anaconda Vise but Jericho would counter the submission hold into a cover but Punk would counter the pin back into the Anaconda Vise finally making Jericho submit for Punk would retain the WWE Championship.
The last match of the night was The Rock taking on John Cena in a new green attire. This match had been hyped up for over a year now and it was finally time we got to see on the grandest stage of them all. The match would start off with Rock pushing Cena onto the mat as Cena look on in shock. Cena would go to the outside the ring as Te Rock would deliver a number of suplexes. Cena and Rock though would both be down as they both delivered clotheslines to one another. The Rock would mock Cena with the "You Can't See Me" hand motion but Cena would not be pleased as he was so close to beating The Rock with an Attitude Adjustment. The Rock would then pull off a Rock Bottom on Cena but that would not keep Cena down as both men shown signs of fatigue. The two would execute submission holds as The Rock would deliver his signature Sharpshooter and Cena would deliver his signature STF to The Rock having neither submit in the process. Cena would attempt to go for another Attitude Adjustment but The Rock would slip out and nailed The People's Elbow to Cena. The Rock would somehow though be unable to get the three count with the maneuver. Cena would roll Rock up into another Attitude Adjustment and still would not get a successful pin on The Rock. Cena would then mock The Rock as he would slide his armband off and do The Rock signature gestures as he would go for The People's Elbow. Cena would jump across Rock but The Rock got up on both feet and out of no where delivered The Rock Bottom to Cena to get the win. The Rock has proved to the fans that even though you've been out of the ring for quite sometime, you still got it in you to win. The Rock would be in enjoyment as WreslteMania XXVIII had come to an end.
